Formatting mathematical expressions with TeX

You can embed mathematical expressions of any complexity into items using the tex entity tag.

1. Enter the TeX code for the required expressions directly into the text of the item.

   If you are not sure of the coding, see TeX coding examples.

2. Select the code.
3. Select tex from the entity window.

In the Item Editor, TeX-formatted text has an aqua background so that you can identify mathematical expressions. When the item is rendered in the standard view, the TeX coding is compiled and rendered as a static image.
